Gauhati High Court Recruitment Details
1. Name of post: Stenographer Grade-II
Number of vacancy: 34
Educational Qualification:
➲ The candidate must be a graduate from a UGC recognized University as on the date of advertisement.
➲ Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/ Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/ completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
2. Stenographer Grade-III
Number of vacancy: 96
Educational Qualification:
➲ Candidate who has passed H.S. examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ University as on the date of advertisement.
➲ Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
3. Court Manager
Number of Vacancy: 11 [UR: 03, OBC/MOBC: 06, STP: 01 & STH: 01]
Educational Qualification:
➲ Bachelor Degree in any stream with Masters in Business Administration or Advanced Diploma in General Management from a University or Institution in India recognized by the University Grants Commission.
➲ 5 (five) years working experience in Process Management or I.T. Systems Management or Human Resources Management or Financial Management.
➲ Good computer application skill having at least 6 months diploma in Computer Application.

Other Criteria of Gauhati High Court Recruitment
Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India as defined in Articles 5 & 6 of the constitution of India.
Age Limit:
Stenographer: Candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on the last date of application.
Court Manager: Candidate’s age should not be less than 25 years and not more than 38 years as on the last date of application.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- SC: 5 years
- ➲STP/STH: 5 years
- PWD: 10 years
Local Language Proficiency: Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must possess Employment exchange registration number for the state of Assam.
